The MultiGene™ OptiMax employs a new protocol optimization process improving on older gradient features. The OptiMax utilizes Flex™ technology that effectively separates the 96 well plate into 6 - (4 x 4) temperature regions that allow you to pick the temperatures you want to test against. These regions are easily identified by the blue and black squares visible on the microplate platen. Instead of having the thermal cycler choose temperatures for you, you can choose any temperatures you want within a 24°C range.

The MultiGene™ OptiMax has a heating rate of 4°C /sec and a cooling rate of 3°C/sec. We have minimized overshooting and undershooting so that your reactions only see the temperatures they are supposed to see. This also leads to faster runs time.


New is the PC Viewer Option.

By downloading our software from our website and attaching a USB cable to your Windows PC to can view the temperature profiles real time as they are occurring to monitor your system.


Intuitive User Interface


The MultiGene™ OptiMax utilizes an intuitive user interface. This user interface is friendly to the laboratory environment and consistent with what our customers previously enjoyed in our earlier models. It can be used with lab gloves even if wet. We have improved the ramping speed and eliminated overshooting and undershooting which contributes to longer run times.


Fully Adjustable Heated Lid


The OptiMax's heated lid is fully adjustable to provide optimum pressure for use with a broad range of tubes and microplates. For optimum performance, the lid can also be programmed to hold different temperatures between 60° to 65°C and 100° to 115°C. The OptiMax lid prevents condensation and slides away and back from the user to provide full access to samples and reduce the risk of coming in contact with a hot surface.

Bullseye Green Choice Agarose is a highly purified agarose that is refined using an advanced process that excludes the use of organic solvents, significantly reducing environmental impact. Bullseye Green Choice Agarose can be used for analyses of proteins and nucleic acids of various sizes (150 bp to 25 kbp).

Its low EEO promotes increased electrophoretic mobility, yielding improved resolution and shorter run times. This also allows macromolecules and larger particles to migrate more freely through the gel matrix. The consistently low EEO also provides a reduction in band distortion that can result from the presence of excessive sulfate-rich negative ions.

Easily soluble, free of nucleases, and easy to use. It is highly transparent and exhibits exceptionally low absorption of chemical staining agents. The pore size can be adjusted by modifying the concentration ratio.

Formulated for high gel strength and integrity, Bullseye Green Choice Agarose exhibits exceptional thermal stability and mechanical resistance, ensuring safe, easy handling.

IsoFreeze PCR and IsoFreeze PCR SBS are innovative, high performance, personal chiller racks. Using proven IsoFreeze temperature maintenance technology, the filled racks maintain a cool(refrigerator) environment on the bench or on the workstation platform. IsoFreeze gives a chilled and stable environment for PCR reagents, cells, enzymes or other temperature sensitive reagents.

Industry Standard format tubes, strips and 96 well plates, in both standard and low profile well shape, are accommodated and are efficiently cooled in PCR, QPCR and many other applications.

IsoFreeze PCR Racks are manufactured using polypropylene containing novel, temperature dependent color-change dye giving simple, at-a-glance, temperature indication for each well. There is a dramatic change to a contrasting color at 7C. IsoFreeze gel technology means the wells will stay cool for up to 4 hours (see charts below), depending on ambient temperature and other factors.
