This series of tubes is available either plain or with printed graduations and white marking area for sample identification. The caps do not have the attachment loops for users who prefer to remove the caps completely from the tubes when filling or sampling. These microcentrifuge tubes have all the other fine features stated in the general description. Perfect for cryogenic work. Non skirted tubes can be centrifuged up to 20,000g. Skirted tubes can be centrifuged up to 17,000g.


Will withstand temperatures from -196 °C to +121 °C. 


Tubes and caps (with CMT as part number) are certified RNase, DNase, DNA and Pyrogen free.

Made of extra strong polycarbonate, these durable cryogenic storage boxes are designed to be used at temperatures from -190°C to +121°C and are autoclavable. Different models are available to accommodate either 81 or 100 CryoTubes from 1ml to 5ml. 

A transparent lid allows the user to see the contents of the box, and is keyed to the base to prevent misalignment. The surface of the lid is printed with a numbered grid and can be written on using markers for better inventory control. The boxes are stackable and also compatible with metal freezer racks.

The ice core aluminum alloy shell with high thermal conductivity of the alloy module ensures that the samples can be quickly cooled. The temperature difference between the sample holes is less than 0.1°C, which maintains a uniform temperature throughout the samples. Because the FreezeBox™ is ice-free, lightweight, and easy to carry it is ideal for collection of biological samples, or even to preserve unstable nucleic acid samples. Its compact design and ice-free technology allow for convenient use in a tissue culture incubator, bio-safety cabinet or any other application with limited space. The FreezeBox™ can be used with different ice cores, and a variety of thermal test tube modules allowing for usage with different samples and temperatures.

Usage:
This product is easy to assemble and simple to use. After storing the ice core in the ultra-low temperature refrigerator for several hours place the desired tube module on the chilled core, and insert your sample or plate into the tube module. If you choose to use dry ice, take the core out, directly fill approximately 200g dry ice, then lay the tube modules on top of it.

BetterBox Microtube Storage Boxes

MTC Bio's BetterBox is an all new autoclavable polypropylene storage box, exclusively designed to hold 81 x 1.5 mL or 2.0 mL microtubes neatly and securely in nine rows of nine tubes (snap cap or screw cap tubes fit equally well). The lid cannot become separated or lost thanks to the sturdy hinge and locking clasp. A frosted marking spot is molded into the front edge and the top surface. Available in a rainbow pack of five colors with clear lids and bases, the actual tube rack (colored middle layer) can be snapped out, allowing the base to be easily filled with crushed ice or liquid. The BetterBox is made of autoclavable virgin polypropylene and is freezable to -80° C. The special corner feet are designed to mate with the four grooves in the top of the lid making them interlock and exceptionally easy to stack and transport.

Select among our three one-well racks--epoxy-coated steel wire racks, interlocking polypropylene racks, or friction-fit polystyrene racks. Move our wire and friction-fit racks to exactly where you need your tube. Friction-fit racks securely hold conical or round bottom tubes with 27.5 to 29mm OD.
