96 or 384 we have it.  Non-Skirted, semi-skirted or full skirted, we have it.  0.1, 0.2, or 0.5 mL we have it.  A1, A12, H12, A24, P24 cuts, we have them.  Sybr© Green or probe alternative, we have it.  

Pro Tip: Colored plastics do not have any impact on DNA amplification.  But when setting up qPCR it is often recommended to use white plastics.  This will limit or prevent fluorescence refraction.  Light refraction can minimize sensitivity and consistency. 

Pro Tip 2: If you are seeing inconsistencies in PCR/qPCR try PR1MA Pipette Tips.  This will help optimize and reduce variance in the reactions.  Simple test, see the residual liquid left in tips?  This means some of the taq, dNTPs, sample, etc is left in the tip.  PR1MA tips help reduce that significantly and improve your consistency. 

Pro Tip 3: Seeing evaporation in the outer wells of a PCR/qPCR plate?  Sometimes it’s the plate, sometimes it the seal, and sometimes it’s the cycler.  Call us we have solutions.

SealPlate® SealMate Rolls

For Fast and Efficient Microplate Sealing. The SealMate SealPlate Starter Kit features a re-usable dispenser and two rolls of perforated film.
 
The dispenser facilitates the quick and easy dispensing of film from a roll allowing microplates to be sealed three times faster than using sheeted films. Cost-effective replacement rolls are sold separately. Ideal for use under the hood; the SealMate dispenser minimizes film contamination.

  • Environmentally friendly; no paper liner to remove and discard; utilizes approximately 72% less material than SealPlate sheeted film
  • Each sheet is separated by an adhesive-free, perforated, color-coded green band
  • The smooth lower surface of the dispenser can be used to seal the film to the plate
  • Dispenser protects unused seals from contamination

Industry Standard for Sample Protection.
 
SealPlate® minimizes evaporation, prevents well-to-well contamination and spillage. Eliminates the “edge effect” which can occur with plate lids (e.g. greater evaporation in the outside plate wells).

Easy-to-pierce, Medical Grade Acrylic Adhesive. 

AlumaSeal® II is a soft, non-permeable aluminum foil with a strong, medical-grade acrylic adhesive. Compared to other aluminum foils, AlumaSeal® II  has less tendency to roll back on itself when removing the backing paper.

FoilSeal

Extra thick aluminum foil minimizes shredding upon removal
 
FoilSeal features a specially formulated adhesive that provides an excellent seal to minimize evaporation, reduce cross-contamination and prevent spillage.

Application: PCR, light sensitive assays and robotics
Temp. Range: -20°C to +120°C

Universal fit for all plate types (e.g. flat-top, raised-rim and non-skirted); the smaller dimensions and rounded corners result in no plate overhang for robotics applications.
  • Certified DNase- & RNase- free
  • Pierceable with a pipet tip or robotic probe for direct sample recovery
  • 2.0mil aluminum foil removes easily without shredding or tearing

ThermalSeal® RTS Silicone Sealing Film

 Optically Clear, Pressure Activated, Non-tacky Silicone.
 
The silicone adhesive is non-tacky until pressure is applied to the sealing surface which then creates a secure bond around the wells and perimeter of the plate. Also ideal for dry samples (e.g. soil, seeds, insects, etc.) because the non-activated adhesive above the wells remains non-tacky. A roller or sealing paddle is highly recommended for use with this product to ensure consistent and adequate pressure is applied during the sealing process. 

  • Provides an extremely strong seal to minimize evaporation
  • Certified DNase- & RNase- free
  • Chemically resistant to DMSO, acetonitrile, and methanol
  • Ideal for use with flat-top, raised-rim and non-skirted PCR plates

Helpful Tips

  • Sufficient pressure must be applied to activate the silicone adhesive

ILP Polyester Sealing Film

Perfect for general sealing applications, prevention of cross-contamination, Elisa, incubation, and short-term storage. Our polyester films with acrylic adhesive are a great general-purpose seals, ideal for sample protection. The acrylic adhesive offers a strong bond that seals tightly on polypropylene and polystyrene plates.

The paper backing of this film is scored on both ends to allow for two-handed (precise) placement on the plate. MID-SF081-PE Films have writing tabs for clear identification.
