Hoefer® Standard Format Glass Plates for Vertical Systems
Standard format glass plates are for SE660, SE600X Chroma, SE600, SE640, SE410, and SE400 Vertical Gel Electrophoresis Units.
Run as many as four 0.75, 1.0, or 1.5 mm thick gels on SE600 Series units and two gels on the SE400 Series at one time under identical conditions using the double gel capacity Divider Plates. Insert a divider plate between the glass plates that make up a single gel sandwich. Place spacers on each side of the divider plate to form two gel cavities for pouring gels. This two gel “club sandwich” fits into the same casting stand and seals perfectly.

Hoefer® PlateMate™ Glass Plate Washer and Storage Kit
Dramatically reduces glass plate loss due to chipping and cracking. Each holder can hold either ten 18 cm wide plates in the long direction or twenty 8 cm wide plates in the short direction. The adaptor can be placed in three different slots, labeled to refer to the length of the plates: 8, 10, or 12 cm.
- Glass plates fit securely into the plate holders' grooves for safe washing, rinsing, and storage
- Stainless steel handles let you carry plate holders easily and set them safely into the washing bath
- Accommodates forty 8 cm tall or twenty 18 cm wide plates

This set includes precision-crafted glass and alumina plates for electrophoresis applications. Includes a variety of notched and rectangular plates in 10 x 8 cm and 10 x 10.5 cm sizes, ideal for customizing your vertical gel setup.

Hoefer® Spacers for Dual and Air Cooled Vertical Systems
Gel Spacers for SE400 and SE600 Series Vertical Electrophoresis Systems.
Engineered for consistent gel casting, these precision-machined spacers are made from high-strength, chemically resistant plastics. Available in three lengths (8, 16, and 24 cm) and multiple thicknesses (0.75 mm, 1.0 mm, 1.5 mm) to accommodate various gel formats.
All 1.0 mm spacers are white for quick identification during setup.

Glow-Writer Pen
Glow Writeris a fine-point phosphorescent ink marking pen for making experimental notations and other markings on chemiluminescent and radioisotope-labeled substrate materials (e.g., transfer membranes, dried gels, genomic and proteomic matrices, etc.) being analyzed by X-ray film autography or electronic imaging. The unique marker delivers a phosphor-containing ink through a fine point porous nib. Before exposure to X-ray film, the phosphorescent writing is excited by room light. A phosphor ink having an optimum concentration of phosphor and a relatively short afterglow halflife (approximately 2-3 minutes) has been selected so that upon exposure to X-ray film,autographic exposures of almost any duration will be easily readable on the film. RunBlue gels are more rigid and up to 10 times stronger than conventional precast gels resulting in more robust gels that can be handled with confidence. No tearing - an 8% gel can be thrown into the air and caught without breaking!
- RunBlue gels are manufactured using a unique method of polymerisation that results in more uniform and more complete polymerisation of the Acrylamide when compared to conventional, chemical based methods. This results in gels that have superior batch to batch reproducibility and practically eliminates exposure to un-polymerised Acrylamide.
- RunBlue gels incorporate a stacking gel that has been dyed (red for SDS) for the simplest ever sample loading. In addition, there is no comb to remove as the top of the teeth are fixed in place. This not only prevents the teeth from being accidentally torn off during comb removal but that all of the wells are uniform, with the teeth remaining vertical. This prevents sample cross contamination / inability to load desired Vol. The teeth also protrude above the lower front plate of the gel cassette preventing sample flow over into adjacent wells.
- Runblue gels are available in two different cassette sizes providing compatibility with the most common gel tanks and apparatus. Â 10x10 cm cassettes are compatible with Invitrogen/Life Technologies equipment and any other equipment designed for this format, such as the Hoeffer and Owl tanks. Our 8x10 cm cassette is designed to fit the Biorad equipment (Mini Protean I, II and II, Tetra etc).
- The resolving gel on RunBlue gels extends to the very bottom of the cassette which not only provides improved resolution but also there is no protruding gel that requires trimming prior to blotting. There is also no additional tape / covers to remove - simply take the gel from the pack and use.
- RunBlue gels are supplied in boxes of 10 gels. They are available in a 12 well format, covering a range of concentrations and gradients.

No matter what size your Western blot is, there's a box that fits it perfectly. With boxes that are correctly matched to common blot sizes, you can fit more blots on shakers/rockers while keeping reagent and antibody usage to an absolute minimum. Additionally, all corners are formed at 90° angles and the bottom surface is uniformly flat, further reducing consumption of costly reagents and antibodies (for example, popular mini gels require only about 4 mL).
At a price that makes them truly disposable, all sizes are engineered from crystal clear polystyrene. The exception is our opaque black boxes (except WBB7BK and WBB15BK), which protect light-sensitive samples. All sizes are also equipped with an easy-to-open hinged lid that reduces evaporation.

Bullseye Pre-stained Protein Ladder, 10-180 kDa

Application: The Bullseye Pre-stained Protein Ladder is suitable for visualizing proteins during electrophoresis without staining and for monitoring transfer onto membrane.
The Bullseye Pre-stained Protein Ladder contains 10 prestained proteins, covering a wide range of molecular weights from 10 to 180kDa. It is designed for monitoring protein separated during polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, verification of Western transfer efficiency on membranes and for sizing of proteins. The ladder is supplied in protein gel loading buffer and is ready-to-use. No need to heat, dilute, or add reducing agent before loading. One prominent feature of this protein ladder, is that it remains in the liquid state at the storage temperature; therefore, there is not a freeze-thaw cycle involved, making the ladder very stable.
Contents:
0.1~0.4 mg/ml of each protein in 20 mM Trisphosphate (pH 7.5 at 25°C), 2% SDS, 1 mM reducing reagent, 3.6 M Urea, and stabilizer.
Usage:
For each application, 5-15µl is needed, depending on the size of the wells.
Quality Control:
Tested in polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and Western Blotting.
