X360 Series Compound Microscopes

X360 clinical microscopes deliver exceptional optical performance, versatility, and durability for any laboratory, clinical, or teaching environment.

With an infinity optical design and plan achromat objectives, the X360 produces high resolution and contrast images and reproduction with full optical correction from edge to edge of the 22 mm Field of View. The LED illuminator, tuned to 5600º, provides a homogenous field of view and enriches the color and contrast in the images.

All configurations include a trinocular eyetube with a built in photo port to accommodate any camera and easy upgrading. In addition, the light is directed simultaneously to the eyepieces and camera port via the integrated dichotic mirror, eliminating the need to consistently move a slider to determine light distribution. The design also eliminates vibration for digital imaging, reducing the need for constant focus updating. The eyepieces are at a comfortable 30º inclination (eliminating fatigue) and can be rotated 180º to accommodate users of all heights.

The stage features a double-layer, ceramic surface with user-adjustable XY controls for slide movement. Rackless design provides stability and durability. There is a 1 uM fine focus to ensure crisp images and a focus travel stop to prevent accidental damage to the objective lenses or sample. There is a carry handle on the back for easy transportation and an integrated cord hanger for storage.

The X360 offers a USB port on the back of the scope, allowing users to charge other devices while using the scope. It’s the only microscope in this class that offers a focusable field lens, allowing for Koehler illumination and helping to foster the best in class performance.

Accuris QuadCount Automated Cell Counter

The Accuris QuadCount™ improves on the simple technique of brightfield microscopy by utilizing an LED light source, precision optics and a high resolution CMOS detector. A finely tuned, motorized XYZ positioning stage provides for extra fine focusing and ability to capture multiple images.

With count speeds at fast as 20 seconds per sample, the Accuris QuadCount provides many advantages over the tedious and time consuming manual hemocytometry method. The advanced software eliminates human bias in dead/live determinations, reduces counting errors, saves time, and improves efficiency.

The QuadCount utilizes a unique 4-chambered disposable QuadSlide.  Four samples can be processed in one slide (twice the capacity of standard 2-chambered slides), decreasing consumable costs.  Each chamber has a hydrophilic inner surface with an engraved grid pattern. High precision production and molding ensure that each QuadSlide meets the rigorous standards and dimensional tolerances required for optimal counting performance.

3 Count Modes Available to analyze different sample volumes.
  • Quick Mode: 0.15 uL / 20 seconds (1 image frame)
  • Normal Mode: 0.9 uL / 30 seconds (6 image frames)
  • Precise Mode: 3.6 uL/ 100 seconds  (24 image frames)
The QuadCount’s ability to analyze larger sample volumes/multiple images provides significantly better accuracy.

Advanced Optics and Imaging Technology
The Accuris QuadCount incorporates the highest quality optical and electronic components, such as a 4X objective lens and 5 MP CMOS detector, to ensure reliable performance and consistent results.
The precision motorized stage adjusts the position of the lens and sensor assembly in micron increments for automatic focus.  Multiple image frames (up to 24) can be captured to increase the volume of sample counted, providing a higher level of accuracy.

Autofocus
Correct focus is crucial for accurate counts of viable cells. The QuadCount’s proprietary autofocus system and image analysis software work in conjunction with the motorized stage to analyze and capture images in the proper focal plane.

Advanced Algorithms
Advanced detection algorithms easily manage irregularly shaped and aggregated cells. Often misinterpreted by visual counting, correct analysis of these cells is performed by QuadCount’s software, resulting in more accurate counts. User to user variation is eliminated.

Intuitive User Interface
After images are captures, the cell count parameters are easily adjusted.
  • Gating size range
  •  Aggregation level
  •  Live/dead definition
Cell population statistics are viewed as a histogram and cell size gating can be adjusted.  Choose to view the histogram data for individual or multiple chambers in each QuadSlide.

Corning® Cell Counter

Time-saving Technology Using the Power of the Cloud

For years, the choice between manual and automated cell counting has been a difficult one. Manual cell counting can be accurate, but time-consuming and user-dependent. Automated cell counting is much faster and less user-dependent, but the cost of disposable counting slides can be an issue. A tough choice, but now there is an affordable solution.

The Corning® Cell Counter is the first automated cell counter that combines the best of both worlds.
It is:

·       Evolving – periodic, seamless upgrades, added features, and improved functionality.

·       Accurate – thanks to its cloud-based machine learning algorithm.

·       Improved resolution – ability to accurately count as small as 4 µm (e.g., PBMC).

·       Low-cost – works with common reusable glass hemocytometers. No consumables required.

·       Fast – thanks to its online image processing.

Other Advantages

Easy to use – The Cell Counter is easy to use. Simply connect the Cell Counter to your computer or tablet and start the CytoSMART Cloud App. Place the loaded counting chamber on the stage. Focus on your cells and press the Count button. The simplicity of the Cell Counter allows anyone working in your lab to easily count cells without the need of extensive training.

Accessible Data Anywhere, Anytime – With the Corning® Cell Counter summary reports are instantly generated with every count; exportable on your computer and automatically saved to the CytoSMART Cloud, enabling you to access the analyzed images and cell counts remotely on your smartphone, tablet, or computer without running out of storage space. Since all data is saved in the CytoSMART Cloud, you can gain insight into the health and quality of your cell culture from one experiment to the next by batch exporting all the counts in your specific research experiment.

Requirements to use Corning® Cell Counter:

·       Windows 10 Tablet or PC

·       High-speed internet/cloud access

·       USB 3.0 Port

·       Mammalian cells 4 to 70 μm
