Cryogenic Boxes with Hinged Lids offer durable, long-term storage for 1.2 to 2.0 mL cryogenic vials, making them an ideal replacement for traditional cardboard freezer boxes. Constructed from high-strength polycarbonate, these boxes are built to withstand extreme temperatures from -196 to 121°C, including exposure to liquid nitrogen (LN) and autoclaving.

Designed for compatibility with standard 5.25 In. (133 mm) freezer racks, each box features a clear, hinged lid with printed alphanumeric indexing for fast and accurate sample identification. Drainage slots in the base allow safe use in LN vapor phase environments, enhancing safety and usability in cryogenic storage workflows.

81-Well Freezer Storage Boxes with Lift-Off Lids

Replace your disposable cardboard boxes with these sturdy, reusable, polypropylene storage boxes!

Accommodates 0.5, 1.5, and 2.0 mL tubes and can withstand temperatures as low as -90°C. These boxes will easily fit 2 in. standard freezer storage racks and drawers. The telescoping style lids are clear with frosted I.D. panels on two sides. Bases are available in natural, black, or assorted fluorescent colors.

Reversible Microtube Storage Racks

This reversible rack comes with a simple-to-use removable hinged lid that snaps in place on either side of the rack. Rack and lid are molded out of autoclavable polypropylene. PCR® side of the rack has 168 wells that hold 0.2 mL tubes. The wells will accommodate 8 or 12 tube strips or individual tubes. The opposite side of the rack has 40 wells that hold 0.5 mL tubes. We have also placed 12 wells for 1.5 mL tubes on both sides of the rack for your convenience. Available in natural or assorted colors (blue, green, purple, yellow, and orange). Packs of 5. The PolarSafe cryogenic 2D vials, available in 2 and 5 mL sizes with internally or externally threaded caps, are idea for rapid processing of biological samples. The embedded Datamatrix code at the bottom of each vial along with the corresponding "Code 128" barcode on the body of the vial, saves time and provides accurate organization and tracking of valuable samples.

The 2D vials can be safely stored in polycarbonate boxes (purchase separately). The storage boxes also feature the 2D Datamatrix code and Code 128 barcode to provide automatic identification of both the box and stored vials.

The CoolCaddy™ offers the highest level of enzyme protection and is essential for all protocols that call for more than 30 minutes of benchtop prep work.  Additionally, the proprietary refrigerant gel protects enzymes, samples and reagents from freezer fluctuations caused by power outages, open doors, and frost-free cycles.

IsoFreeze Color-Changing Racks take the guesswork out of sample preparation!

Using proven IsoFreeze temperature maintenance technology, the filled racks maintain a cool (refrigerator) environment on the bench or the workstation platform. This helps maintain a stable environment for PCR reagents, cells, enzymes, or other temperature-sensitive reagents. Industry Standard format tubes, strips, and 96 well plates, in both standard and low profile well shapes, are accommodated and are efficiently cooled in PCR, QPCR, and many other applications.

IsoFreeze PCR Racks are manufactured using polypropylene containing temperature-dependent color-change dye giving at-a-glance temperature indication for each well. There is a dramatic change to a contrasting color at 7ºC. IsoFreeze gel technology means the wells will stay cool for up to 4 hours, depending on ambient temperature and other factors.
