ThermalSeal® RTS™ Silicone Sealing Film
The silicone adhesive is non-tacky until pressure is applied to the sealing surface which then creates a secure bond around the wells and perimeter of the plate. Also ideal for dry samples (e.g. soil, seeds, insects, etc.) because the non-activated adhesive above the wells remains non-tacky. A roller or sealing paddle is highly recommended for use with this product to ensure consistent and adequate pressure is applied during the sealing process.

Helpful Tips
- Sufficient pressure must be applied to activate the silicone adhesive
- Multiple swipes of the sealing paddle in both directions is highly recommended

Optically Transparent, Highly Conformable Adhesive, Polyester Sealing Film.
Designed for use with standard 96-well plates where rows
must be selectively protected or accessed. Available in a smaller cut for raised-rim and non-skirted PCR plates: ThermalSeal® RT2RR
- Certified DNase- & RNase- free
- Ultra-high optical clarity
- Minimizes evaporation and cross-contamination
- Ideal for use with flat-top and hard-shell dual component (e.g. polycarbonate / polypropylene) PCR plates
- Not recommended for removal after thermal cycling

ILP Aluminum Sealing Film
Soft and impermeable aluminum sealing foils with medical grade acrylic adhesive. Once applied, the seal adheres aggressively, forming a tight positive seal preventing evaporation of VOCs, sample loss in storage, drying, cross contamination, and reducing the risk of aerosols and pathogens venting.

ILP Polyester Sealing Film
Perfect for general sealing applications, prevention of cross-contamination, Elisa, incubation, and short-term storage. Our polyester films with acrylic adhesive are a great general-purpose seals, ideal for sample protection. The acrylic adhesive offers a strong bond that seals tightly on polypropylene and polystyrene plates.
The paper backing of this film is scored on both ends to allow for two-handed (precise) placement on the plate. MID-SF081-PE Films have writing tabs for clear identification.

Incredible optical clarity, non-absorbing, and non-fluorescing properties of these films make them ideally suited for Real Time PCR (qPCR) and optical assay work. Featuring an inert, ultra-clear, and strong encapsulated silicone adhesive that provides extraordinary performance in demanding applications.
Encapsulated silicone greatly reduces the risk of sample contamination due to exposure to adhesive. Once the film is pressed onto the plate, the raised portion of the well penetrates the encapsulation, and a tight seal is formed on just that surface (not over the sample). This silicone seal adheres aggressively, preventing evaporation and lessening the possibility of “Edge Effect”.
The plasticized backing of this film is scored on both ends to allow for two-handed (precise) placement on the plate. Both film and adhesive maintain incredible clarity and are the choice for highly demanding manual and automated processes.
