The Accuris SmartReader™ UV-Vis Microplate Reader (model MR9610) has been designed with ease-of-use and fast results in mind. This instrument brings extensive capabilities to the lab bench and is designed for the busy lab with multiple users. Monochromator technology … no filters needed

The monochromator-based optical system allows for precise selection of wavelengths from 200nm to 1000nm, with no filters required. This range makes the SmartReader UV-Vis™ useful not only for typical ELISA , Bradford Lowry, and turbidity assays but also for more advanced applications such as quantitation of nucleic acids and proteins. The SmartReader™ UV-Vis can be set for Endpoint, Kinetic and Spectral Scanning assays.

High Throughput Capability

The MR9610 is designed for efficient processing of multiple samples and
accepts standard 96 well plates as well as 384 well plates for high density
screening. The plate layout interface allows for a quick and intuitive setup of a plate well’s contents. Users can highlight and label multiple wells to save time. The display shows a graphical representation of the plate. Users can label each well as required for: “known standard”, “unknown sample”, “blank well” , “QC Control well”, “positive control”, “negative control”, and “empty”.

Optimized results with plate shaking and incubation

Controllable plate shaking and incubation allow for optimization of assay results. The shaking speed can be controlled at different intensities with options for timed and pulsed shaking before a reading, or in between readings when performing a kinetic assay. The linear motion efficiently and uniformly mixes all samples in both 96 and 384 well plates. Temperature can be controlled from ambient +5C up to 45C, allowing for the processing of enzyme kinetics, and bacterial growth assays.”


SmartDrop™ Accessory Plate

Absorbance measurements of exceptionally small volumes (<0.5ul) can be achieved using the SmartDrop™ Accessory Plate. The SmartDrop™ plate accommodates up to 16 samples and is ideal for checking nucleic acid concentrations and purity for Next Gen Sequencing, or protein concentrations.

Touch pressure with felt tip marker on petri dish registers cumulative count on the digital display with confirmation by audible tone (can be turned on or off). The pressure required to register a count can be adjusted to suit each user. Averaging facility calculates average count over multiple plates. Counting results as well as useful statistics including SD can be sent directly to the accessory printer or to a computer via a USB cable supplied.

Sub-stage illumination by low energy bright LED's allows glare-free optimum viewing. A switchable black background is provided to enhance viewing of translucent and difficult to see colonies. Supplied with a Wolffhuegel graticule, segmentation dish and dish centering adapters to facilitate use with 50mm to 90mm dishes. A choice of magnifiers and a printer are available as optional accessories.

Stickers for labeling petri dishes.

PetriStickers allow for petri dishes to be labeled quickly, neatly and reliably. Made with water-resistant ink, substrate and adhesives and will remain firmly attached at temperatures from 42° to 4°C. Simply remove the label's protective backing and apply it to the back of a petri dish. After labeling, the dish can be held in a comfortable position for streaking or colony transfer, stored in an incubator or refrigerator, and photographed.

The Accuris ASPIRE Laboratory Aspirator incorporates a quiet, maintenance-free pump inside a sturdy, yet compact base. The vacuum is fully adjustable, with a pressure gauge that displays the vacuum level, allowing full control of aspirating speed. The ASPIRE is an ideal choice for a wide range of laboratory aspirating applications, including removal of media from tissue culture vessels or plates, and supernatants. An ergonomic, hand held aspirating device is included, and holds standard 200 to 300ul disposable pipette tips.

Graduations on the collection bottle indicate the amount of fluid collected and when it's ready to be emptied. The Handheld Vacuum Pipette has an ergonomic design that's comfortable in the hand during prolonged use.  Pressing the button applies the vacuum. The pipette accepts Pasteur pipettes, serological pipettes, and also comes with 2 accessory pipette cones. One cone is designed to accommodate 200/300ul pipette tips, the other has a thin, stainless steel capillary for fine control aspirating.
