Multi-Swipe™ Plate-Sealing Paddles
For sealing flat-top and raised-rim plates.
Application: Plate-sealing
Material: Polyethylene
The Multi-Swipe plate-sealing paddle ensures a secure and uniform, pressure-sensitive seal around all wells and is an economical alternative to plate rollers. Plate-sealing paddles are designed for use with all plate types.
- Reusable, recyclable
- The semi-soft, pliable sealing surfaces prevent the film/foil from being torn or ripped
- The non-flat contoured side is designed to go down to the plate; the center raised textured surface provides a non-slip finger hold
- Features two sealing surfaces: the shorter length fits inside the walls of raised-rim plates; the longer length is ideal for flat-top and deep-well plates
- Features two unique sized corner radii: 1/8 inch (0.3175 centimeter) and 1/16 inch (0.1588 centimeter) to seal around the plate perimeter; the tighter radii is for use with raised-rim PCR plates
Helpful Tips
- The printed side is used to seal the film to the plate
- Multiple swipes of the sealing paddle in both directions is highly recommended
- A 10 minute or greater dwell time at room temperature before processing increases the film-to-plate bond

Gel Crusher™ Spin Column
Rapid Gel Fragmentation for DNA Recovery.
Gel Crusher™ Spin Columns provide a fast, efficient, and consistent method for gel fragmentation, replacing traditional crush-and-soak or manual gel breaker steps. Designed with 600 uM filtration pores, these columns enable quick and uniform fragmentation of agarose or acrylamide gel slices, saving time and increasing DNA recovery yields.
Ideal for workflows in molecular cloning, PCR cleanup, restriction digests, DNA sequencing, and labeling protocols, the Gel Crusher™ simplifies the preparation of gel fragments for downstream purification and elution steps.
Simply insert the Gel Crusher™ column into a 2 mL microcentrifuge tube, add your pre-cut gel slice (prepared using a gel cutter or razor blade), and centrifuge at max speed (~15,000 x g) for 5 minutes. The gel will be forced through the 600 uM pores, producing small, uniform fragments that can be easily pipetted using wide-bore tips into NaCl or other solutions.
This process creates a fine slurry that enhances elution efficiency and improves access to the target nucleic acids, significantly reducing incubation and processing time.
Key Features
- Efficiently breaks gel slices into uniform fragments
- Eliminates manual crush-and-soak steps
- Increases DNA yield and recovery efficiency
- Fits standard 2 mL microcentrifuge tubes
- Compatible with standard benchtop centrifuges (up to 15,000 x g)

Azure ChemiWriter ECL Pen
Chemiluminescent pen for blot annotation
The Azure ChemiWriter ECL Western blot annotation pen is a chemiluminescent marker that enables you to write or draw on your transfer membranes, resulting in a chemiluminescent signal on your markings once substrate is added. Contains a reagent that reacts with HRP substrates to produce chemiluminescence and also a blue dye to allow you to see markings as you write on the Western blot.
Use for tracing visible protein ladders or making identifying marks on your Western blots. Pen has two tips on each end: one fine-tipped for thin markings and one thicker for depositing more of the reagent.
Quantity: 1 pen
Features
Enables you to write or draw on your transfer membranes. A chemiluminescent signal will be detectable from your markings once chemiluminescent substrate is added.
- Use for tracing visible protein ladders or making identifying marks on your blots. Pen has two tips on each end: one fine-tipped for thin markings and one thicker for depositing more of the reagent.
- There are two heads to the pen, a fine point tip and a thicker chisel point tip.
- We recommend using the fine point tip to annotate the blot and mark protein ladders for detection.
- The chisel point of the pen can be used to deposit an increased amount of reagent on the blot for more intense signal.
- For best results we recommend annotating your blot after transfer and before starting your Western blotting protocol.
- Once annotated, the blot may be stored dry or wet, refrigerated or at room temperature.
- Storage: pen should be stored tightly closed at room temperature. ChemiWriter ECL reagent and blue ink markings on the blot are stable for at least three months.
Azure Chemi Blot Blocking Buffer
This Chemi Blot Blocking Buffer was formulated to enhance signal and lower background by improving sensitivity. Enhances specific antibody-antigen interactions specifically for chemiluminescent Western blots.
- Provided as a 1x ready-to-use solution- no mixing or dilutions required.
- Size: 500mL
Features
Western blot membranes should be incubated in blocking buffer before antibody hybridization to prevent non-specific binding of antibodies. Blocking buffer can also be used for diluting primary and secondary antibodies during hybridization.
