SealPlate® RollMate Pre-scored Film

Convenient, Easy-to-Use Roll format.

Pre-scored film on a roll is a more economical and efficient alternative to rapidly seal microplates or racked test tubes; faster than applying single sheeted film. Self-standing, non-slip supports hold the pre-scored film roll securely in place for quick and easy bench-top dispensement. The roll unwind tension can be easily adjusted to user preference. Continuous backing liner can be torn off or fed directly into a waste basket for disposal.

EZcapFoilStrips

An economical and more user-friendly alternative to PCR strip caps; no sore thumbs and fingers guaranteed!

Application: PCR and light sensitive assays
Temp. Range: -20°C to +120°C

Precision cut to a smaller dimension for sealing one PCR 8-tube strip or a single row of a 96-well PCR or deep-well storage plate whenever rows must be
selectively protected or accessed. FoilStrips remove easily with no splash back as can occur with strip-caps.
  • Certified DNase- & RNase- free
  • Each sheet contains 6 strips on a continuous liner for ease of use
  • Pierceable with a pipet tip or robotic probe for direct sample recovery
  • The conformable nature of foil allows for the visual verification of the seal’s security around each well
  • 2.0 mil aluminum foil removes easily without tearing 
Helpful Tips:
  • A non-locking workstation is recommended for sample prep (e.g. 96-well round-boom plate)
  • Removal of the end-tabs at the perforations is recommended before cycling
  • A final sealing step is highly recommended in the thermal cycler because 8-tube strips flex during handling
  • Do not fold foil around sides of tubes

AlumaSeal® CS

With a 50 uM layer of acrylic adhesive that withstands cold storage at temperatures to -80 °C.

Unlike other sealing films in the AlumaSeal® group, AlumaSeal® CS sealing films are not recommended for PCR or thermocycling. A single non-perforated end tab simplifies application. Simply hold the tab and strip the backing from the body of the sealing film as it lays on the plate to avoid curling. Dimensions are 82.6 by 132.6 mm, including the single 9.5 mm end tab. AlumaSeal® CS sealing films are certified DNase-, RNase-, and nucleic-acid-free.
  • Specially formulated for cold storage to -80 °C
  • Excellent barrier properties to retard evaporation
  • Easily pierceable with pipet tips or robotic probes for sample recovery 
*Completing application of AlumaSeal® CS sealing films by pressing with the accessory plate roller assures a secure uniform seal around all wells.

ThermalSeal® 2 and ThermalSeal® Advanced Sealing Film

ThermalSeal® 2 and ThermalSeal® Advanced feature a soft, extra thick, conformable adhesive that forms a very strong seal around raised wells to minimize evaporation and cross-contamination.
  • Certified DNase- & RNase- free
  • Ideal for use with flat-top, semi-skirted and full-skirted PCR plates
  • Compatible with hard-shell dual component (e.g. polycarbonate/polypropylene) PCR plates
  • Large cut allows for easier positioning of the film to the plate via edge of plate alignment vs. centering
  • Available in a smaller cut for raised-rim and non-skirted PCR plates: ThermalSeal® Advanced

Helpful Tips
  • Selection of the proper film size will minimize evaporation
  • The film should not overhang or ride up the wall of a raised-rim plate
