PerformR® Freestanding Centrifuge Tubes
High Performance Centrifugation

  • Labcon PerformR® Tubes are developed using our own in-house laboratory and tested in real labs in basic procedures.
  • Only 100% Medical Grade polypropylene resins are used in PerformR® Tubes. No recycled plastics or commodity grade resins.
  • PerformR® Centrifuge Tubes are autoclavable with a standard 122°C plasticware process for 15 minutes.
  • PerformR® tubes are printed using UV fixed inks that won't rub off like screen printed tubes from other suppliers. Graduations are tested for accuracy during every production lot.
  • Labcon is the only major supplier in our industry to be registered by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
  • Spins to 12,500 RCF

These freestanding 50mL centrifuge tubes are available for use in those applications where a rack is not available. They include a large white solvent resistant writing area and black graduations. Available with either a flat cap or a plug style cap. Freezable (-80°C) and autoclavable (122°C), if caps are loosely attached to the tubes.

30mL PP Centrifuge Tubes

Our 15mL, 30mL, and 50mL centrifuge tubes are made of premium polypropylene for clarity and centrifugal strength. Tubes and caps may be frozen at temperatures as low as -86C. The maximum centrifugal force is 12,000xg for the 15mL tubes, 7,000xg for the 30mL tubes, and 15,000xg for the 50mL tubes*. Caps have a flat top surface for easy marking and labeling. C2605 and C2630 feature a ‘skirted’ bottom that allows the tubeS to stand upright without a separate test tube rack. The C2600 series of centrifuge tubes, self-standing or not, are leakproof to 95 kPa/14psi.

*Refers to liquids with a specific gravity of 1.0, using appropriate rotors, cushions, and adapters.

  • Sterile, RNase, DNase, pyrogen and cytotoxin free
  • Available racked or bagged
  • Compatible with standard rotors
  • Frosted marking surface

25 mL Centrifuge Tubes

  • Fits most 50 mL rotors - Rim eliminates need for adapter
  • Printed graduations - From 5mL to 2mL
  • Compact low-profile design - Minimizes shipping, storage, and waste
  • Gamma sterilized - RNase, DNase, & Pyrogen free

MTC Bio's 25 mL tube is the newest addition to our family of screw cap conical tubes. Closing the obvious gap between 15 mL and 50 mL tubes, they are ideal for any application that requires more than 15 mL and less than 50 mL, including midipreps, general sample prep, centrifugation, mixing and storage.

Aside from the reduction in freight costs, storage space and plastic waste, the 33% reduced height and large diameter design (which is identical to 50 mL tubes) allows for faster re-suspension of pellets and 100% recovery of small samples. Concerns about cross-contamination (a frequent result of accidental contact between the pipette and the inner wall of a 15 mL tube) are eliminated by the hood-friendly, low profile, wide diameter format.

Additionally, the tubes have a 360° support rim, just below the cap. Similar to 1.5 mL tubes, this rim allows the tube to fit into most racks, blocks, shields and rotors without requiring adapters. Made of high clarity polypropylene, MTC Bio 25mL conical tubes can withstand up to 17,000 xg maximum RCF* and are supplied sterile, certified RNase, DNase and pyrogen free and packed in racks or bags of 25 tubes with screw caps attached.

*Refers to liquids with a specific gravity of 1.0, using appropriate rotors, cushions and adapters.
