MIDSCI Cryogenic Labels - Sheets

Labeling frozen vials, microtubes, microplates, glass tubes, freezer boxes, plastic bags, and other containers can be a challenge when stored in temperatures below -20ºC.
Providing a high-quality Cryo label is essential for laboratories, researchers, etc. It will provide fewer errors, better accuracy, and more proficiency and all of this leads to better results at a better budget.

We offer a high-quality adhesive that can stick to already-frozen vials and other objects. The adhesive on this type of label will adhere to a surface in wet and/or cold conditions. The adhesive on the label is specifically designed to stick in temperatures below -80ºC and as low as -196ºC. When storing in deep freeze liquid nitrogen or vapor phase liquid nitrogen our Cryo labels will stay in place. MIDSCI’s Cryo labels are resistant to smearing without any additional lamination. They also won't become brittle or cracked.

Our cryogenic labels are made of thermoplastic film and coated with a glove-friendly cryogenic adhesive. This special adhesive allows the label to remain strong and sticky so that it can be securely attached to stainless steel, aluminum, paint, powder-coated metal, and iron.

Our patented Cryogenic labels (Cryo-Babies are the small sizes and Cryo-Tags are the larger), are flexible polyolefin labels that withstand conventional and cryogenic storage conditions (vapor and liquid phase nitrogen storage at -196°C). The labels are chemically inert with a solvent resistant acrylic adhesive that will adhere to all plastics, glass and metal. Cryo-Babies and Cryo-Tags will withstand boiling water baths at 100°C and dry heat up to 150°C without cracking, peeling or degrading.

Cryo-Babies and Cryo-Tags resist most detergents and oils, as well as many organic solvents, caustic agents and other challenges without peeling. They will resist water soaking for at least 24 hours at room temperature and water vapor (100% relative humidity) at 35°C for at least 24 hours.

The ice-free FreezeBox™ is a new type of energy-saving environmentally friendly, safe, additive-free freezer box. The ice core aluminum alloy shell with high thermal conductivity of the alloy module ensures that the samples can be quickly cooled. The temperature difference between the sample holes is less than 0.1°C, which maintains a uniform temperature throughout the samples. Because the FreezeBox™ is ice-free, lightweight, and easy to carry it is ideal for collection of biological samples, or even to preserve unstable nucleic acid samples. Its compact design and ice-free technology allow for convenient use in a tissue culture incubator, bio-safety cabinet or any other application with limited space. The FreezeBox™ can be used with different ice cores, and a variety of thermal test tube modules allowing for usage with different samples and temperatures.

Features:

  • Low temperature protection for biological samples
  • Uniformity of temperature between the holes ensures consistency among samples
  • Different ice cores available for different storage temperatures
  • Applicable to a variety of thermal pipes and modules
  • Lightweight, compact, easy to carry when collecting biological samples
  • Easy to clean and disinfect
  • Highly durable and suitable for frequent and repeated use

Usage:
This product is easy to assemble and simple to use. After storing the ice core in the ultra-low temperature refrigerator for several hours place the desired tube module on the chilled core, and insert your sample or plate into the tube module. If you choose to use dry ice, take the core out, directly fill approximately 200g dry ice, then lay the tube modules on top of it.
