They are compact laminar flow enclosures that reduce the risk of sample contamination while performing polymerase chain reaction experiments.
Airborne contaminants are prevented from entering into the work zone through constant positive pressure HEPA filtered air. Each PCR prep station is equipped with a built-in 254 nanometer shortwave lamp to effectively decontaminate the work area between amplifications. Safety interlocks are included on all PCR prep stations to prevent operator exposure to potentially harmful UV radiation.
MY-PCR prep stations are bench-top personal clean zones allowing the operator to amplify RNA and DNA while minimizing the potential for background from airborne contaminants.
Note: MY-PCR and FE-PCR are not biological safety cabinets. They are designed to provide process protection only from potential airborne contaminants found in the laboratory space.

Mystaire® CleanPrep™ dead air boxes are circulation-free enclosures that establish an ideal work area to protect against contamination in sensitive PCR amplification reactions. CleanPrep™ workstations are constructed from thermally-fused polypropylene that offers exceptional chemical resistance, does not adsorb moisture and can be easily cleaned and decontaminated between amplifications using a variety of disinfectant solutions.Seamless polypropylene design for easy decontamination between amplifications.

Eye and face protection are essential for anyone working with ultraviolet light sources. UV radiation can cause delayed reactions of sunburn to unprotected eyes and skin. Choose from three styles of comfortable eye/face protection: spectacles, goggles, or faceshield. Spectacles are made of impact resistant polycarbonate. The top and side shield design provide full UV protection for the eyes. Goggles are constructed of specially-formulated plastic giving optimum viewing contrast and lessened eye fatigue. The lightweight design and flexible rubber trim of the goggles fit comfortably on the face, even over prescription glasses. Air vents are located on each side of the goggles to allow air flow while blocking UV. The faceshield covers the face and neck area. Eyewear complies with ANSI-Z87.1 specifications for safety eyewear and NIOSH Document HSM-83-1109. Criteria for a Recommended Standard - Occupational Exposure to Ultraviolet Radiation.
