These optically clear polyester films are ideally suited for Real Time PCR (qPCR). They feature an inert, ultra-clear, and strong encapsulated silicone adhesive that provides extraordinary performance in real-time PCR applications.
Encapsulated silicone greatly reduces the risk of sample contamination due to exposure to adhesive. Once the film is pressed onto the plate, the raised portion of the well penetrates the encapsulation and a tight seal is formed on just that surface (not over the sample). This silicone seal adheres aggressively and diminishes the possibility of "Edge Effect".
The plasticized backing of this film is scored on both ends to allow for two handed (precise) placement on the plate. Both film and adhesive maintain incredible clarity and are the choice for highly demanding manual and automated processes.
Certified free of RNase, DNase, Pyrogen, and nucleic-acid contamination.

The polyester films are a great general purpose seal; ideal for sample protection and elimination of well-to-well sample cross contamination. The acrylic adhesive offers a strong bond that seals tightly on polypropylene and polystyrene plates.
This seal is ideally suited for short term storage, Elisa assays, prevention of sample loss, and general lab usage.
The paper backing of this film is scored on both ends to allow for two handed (precise) placement on the plate.
For PCR applications see our standard PCR film or our Real Time PCR film.
For applications where accessing samples through the seal with pipet tips or a probe is required, see the pierceable aluminum (MID-PCR-200) film.

Elisa, Storage or Sample Cover |
- Provides exceptional seal to safeguard samples during transport or storage
- Eliminates well to well contamination and cross-over in PCR applications when used with Axygen's compression mat
- Polypropylene film is wide temperature range compatible, -40° to 104°C
- PCR-TS is designed for ELISA/EIA applications
- CR-TS-900 is twice as thick (as PCR-TS) and is suitable for water-bath and other difficult PCR applications
SILICONE SEALING MATS
- Produced from the highest quality research grade silicone, they are specially designed to provide a positive and airtight seal.
- Mats fit tightly into wells preventing evaporation.
- Pare well with automation as-well-as manual laboratory protocols.
- High quality silicone, resists coring and tearing reducing the risk or mat particulate entering the well.
- Well perforations will seal themselves, after penetration, ensuring an airtight closure.
- Made of research-grade silicone, they can be autoclaved, and following a 10% bleach wash and ethanol rinse protocol may be reused.
- Printed alpha numeric grid for easy reference.
- RNase, DNase, DNA, and Pyrogen Free Certification
- Temperature Range: -40C to 80C
Cytiva 3MM Chr paper is the world's most widely used blotting paper.
This acceptance and usage reflect the high quality, purity and consistency that are relied upon by researchers doing Southern, Northern and Western transfers. 3MM Chr paper is now available in the most widely used sizes. A medium thickness paper (0.34 mm) used extensively for blotting in electrophoresis for lifting of sequencing gels.
GB004
A thick gel blotting paper (1.0 mm), used for wicking purposes only. Provides higher absorbency and more consistent wicking than paper towels. Recommended for applications where fewer layers of gel blotting paper must still ensure a high capacity. Fewer layers of blotting paper reduce the risk of trapping air bubbles. Recommended for capillary blotting of nucleic acids.
GB005
An extra-thick (1.2 mm ), highly absorbent paper recommended for applications where fewer layers of blotting paper must siill ensure a high capacity. Recommended for semi-dry blotting of proteins.
17 Chr
A thick (0.92 mm) and highly absorbent paper.
31 ET
An extremely fast and thick paper (0.5 mm) with a fairly soft surface.
Features and Benefits
- Pure cellulose produced entirely from the highest quality cotton linters with no additives of any kind. Ensures that no contamination will occur during the transfer steps
- Manufactured and tested specifically for chromatographic techniques. This ensures the wicking capability and uniformity of capillary action that is important in obtaining clean and even transfers during blotting
- Cytiva 3MM Chr is considered the industry standard for blotting procedures
- Convenient sizes available in sheets precisely cut to the most popular gel and transfer membrane sizes. Allows "out-of-the-box" usage and eliminates sheet-to-sheet variations
3MW is used widely in nucleic acid and protein research for blotting, wicking, spacers, and gel drying due to its purity, quality and consistent results. Uniform capillary action provides even wicking and enables gel transfers to be lifted RELIABLY from glass supports.

Works as a plate seal (to eliminate cross contamination) and compression mat all-in-one!
Our compression molded 96-round plug, silicone sealing mats for PCR plates minimize sample evaporation in a wide range of temperatures. These mats are chemically resistant and reusable; containing no adhesives or extractables to contaminate samples. Made of research-grade silicone, they can be autoclaved, and following a 10% bleach wash and ethanol rinse protocol may be reused.
Wells are scored (cut 80% of the way through, but not all of the way) to allow for sample access via pipettor, syringe, or probe. These scored perforations will seal themselves, after penetration, ensuring an airtight closure to the well.AxyMat Sealing Mats

AxyMat Sealing Mats
Limited volume inserts are available in either glass or polypropylene and both conical and flat bottom varieties. For inserts with polymer bottom spring, the spring acts as a shock absorber that protects against breakage if the needle bottoms out. The conical inserts permit complete sample removal.
