Silicone Mats, Round

Compression molded silicone sealing mats with 8.5mm diameter round plugs, are designed for 96-well storage and assay plates. Produced from the highest quality research grade silicone, they are specially designed to provide a positive and airtight seal. Mats fit tightly into wells preventing evaporation of VOCs, sample loss in storage, cross contamination, and reducing the risk of aerosols and pathogens venting during the automation process. They work in a wide range of temperatures for incubation and storage applications; especially for storage at higher temperatures or for applications involving aggressive solvents.
These seals pare well with automation as-well-as manual laboratory protocols. Often used in high-throughput applications or those involving accessing the sample through the cover multiple times.
High quality silicone, resists coring and tearing reducing the risk or mat particulate entering the well. Well perforations will seal themselves, after penetration, ensuring an airtight closure. These mats are chemically resistant and reusable; containing no adhesives or extractables to contaminate samples. Made of research-grade silicone, they can be autoclaved, and following a 10% bleach wash and ethanol rinse protocol may be reused. Printed alpha numeric grid for easy reference.

48-Round or Rectangle Well Plates, U Bottom

Developed for large sample storage and analysis, these 3.5 mL and 4.6mL plates feature raised rims for optimized sealing, thin walls to maximize well volume, and a unique elongated bottom trough – designed to act as a reservoir for samples and sample particulate.

These plates are ideal for large-volume samples and are often used in combinatorial chemistry, environmental, and food testing. Its ANSI/SLAS 1-2004 compliant footprint ensures that it will fit all standard fixtures, stackers, and heater/cooler blocks.

Manufactured from inert medical grade virgin polypropylene resins are ideally suited for stable, long-term high-density sample storage at -80ºC. Certified to be free of RNase, DNase, and Pyrogen contamination.

AlphaPlates are light gray microplates specially designed to reduce crosstalk in AlphaLISA and AlphaScreen assays. Available in 384- and 1536-well formats and as a shallow-well 384-well plate.

ProxiPlate microplates are shallow-well plates designed for low-volume assays where the bottom of the well is raised to position the surface of the liquid in each well as close as possible to a top-reading detector, resulting in higher signal. These solid, opaque plates are offered in black or white in 96-well format and black, white or gray in 384-well (Plus) format. For low-volume cellular assays, sterile, TC-treated ProxiPlate Plus TC microplates are offered in a 384-well format.

CulturPlates are sterile, TC-treated and recommended for use with adherent or suspension cells. They are solid, opaque plates that come in black or white and must be read in top-reading plate readers. They are available in 24-, 96-, 384- and 1536-well formats.

CellCarrier plates are sterile, TC-treated and have a clear-bottom base with opaque black or white frame. They have been specially designed for high content screening and may also be useful in fluorescence assays. They are available in black 96-, 384- and 1536-well formats and white 96-well format.

IsoPlates have clear bottoms with opaque wells like ViewPlates, but are made by molding 96-clear wells, then molding a black or white frame around the clear wells. This makes the color extend to the same depth as the well base, reducing crosstalk in bottom reading assays. B&W Isoplates are also an option for assays which require amplification of signal and reduced crosstalk but not visualization. These plates have black frames with white, opaque wells. Available in 96-well format with a variety of treatment options.

Krystal™ 2000 Plates

The premium polycarbonate Krystal™ 2000 plates have been optimized for luminescence and fluorescence assays. A proprietary manufacturing process provides for clear, individual wells in an opaque matrix. The special design of the plate eliminates well-to-well light cross-talk, improving the accuracy and precision of photometric readings.

Krystal™ 2000 plates are supplied in a 96 x 350 μL well format. Clear wells allow for measurements to be performed with both top and bottom reading instruments. The white matrix provides for maximum reflectivity, allowing high sensitivity luminescence assays. The black matrix absorbs light to minimize background interference in fluorometric assays. Plates are available as tissue culture-treated. The tissue culture plates are supplied in packages of 100.

  • Unmatched accuracy and repeatability for fluorescence and luminescence assays
  • Unique, individual clear well design eliminates cross talk, and allows for reading above or below wells
  • Sleeved plates with lids are available for use in robotic systems
  • 96-well format (350 µl well volume)
  • Bar coding available
