SuperClear® Screw Cap Microcentrifuge Tubes

  • SuperClear® tubes have integral molded in seals instead of O-rings than can dislodge.
  • These tubes and caps can be reliably autoclaved for 15 minutes at 122° C.
  • USP Class medical grade resins and packaging for all lab uses.

Reliable Sealing for Freezing and Storage
SuperClear® Screw Cap Microcentrifuge Tubes with molded-in elastomeric seal are ideal for any sample processing application. Excellent for frozen storage or when working with hazardous or valuable materials.

Tubes and caps are autoclavable. Tubes can be centrifuged to 20,000 RCF.

Available in 0.5mL, 1.5mL, and 2.0ml sizes in both conical and freestanding versions. 2.0ml and 1.5ml Tubes have a side writing surface and graduations on some versions.

All packaged sterile versions are sterilized with a validated and approved ISO 11137 method. Freezable to -80°C.

SuperClear Microcentrifuge Tubes

  • Optically clear resin

SuperClear tubes feature an ultra-clear polypropylene resin that gives you a clear view of the pellet as well as correct color rendition.  Designed to be sustainable, these tubes use less plastic than most other tubes and include ergonomic caps with smooth surfaces that help reduce the potential for repetitive strain injury.  The cap also includes a special 90° hinge that makes the cap easier to close while on handed pipetting.  These tubes are designed to stay closed during boiling to protect your sample.

Available in 0.5 mL, 1.7 mL, and 2.0 mL sizes that fit all stand high capacity rotors.  Tubes with snap caps have pierceable caps, a side writing surface and graduations.  Autoclavable (122°C) and freezable (-80°C).

New sterile microtubes from MIDSCI are manufactured under clean room conditions, using only BioClear co-polymer, an advanced polypropylene that maximizes clarity, centrifugal strength (tested up to 28,000xg) and the usable Temp Range (-90°C to +121°C).

The oversized tube cap (with frosted marking surface), combined with the unique ring & groove closure, enhances the security of the liquid-tight seal, while minimizing the required locking forces for a more ergonomic opening/closing of the tube caps.

All tubes are RNase, DNase and pyrogen free.

ClearSeal™ screw cap microtubes come sterile, in a variety of sizes, cap configurations, graduation options, and even a loop-cap option for the 2.0mL version. Made from ultra-clear polypropylene, these screw cap microtubes include assembled caps with silicone O-rings that assure a leakproof seal from -90°C to +121°C. All ClearSeal™ screw cap microtubes are sterile, RNase, DNase, & pyrogen free and may be centrifuged at up to 22,000xg*.

SuperSlik® low retention microcentrifuge tubes have a low protein binding surface that minimizes sample loss during sample manipulation.  Ideal for applications such as mass spectrometry (ms), immunoprecipitation (IP), co-immunoprecipitation (Co-IP).  Leakproof snap caps may be penetrated by a syringe and will no pop open during autoclaving.  Compatible with many thermal cyclers and able to tolerate centrifuge speeds up to 20,000 RCF.
