The Galileo Bioscience Reflection 2010 is a wide, high capacity gel electrophoresis separation system that allows users to run up to two protein gels simultaneously on a 20 cm wide x 10 cm tall format.  The large gel format makes this unit ideal for users who have a large number of protein samples to run simultaneously.  Galileo's unique casting base allows users to both cast and run gels without ever having to unclamp the upper buffer chamber.  This makes handling gels safer and more convenient, especially for those who may be prone to ripping their gels between the two activities. 

The 2010 vertical gel box also includes a water cooling feature for electrophoresis protocols that require lower temperature.  This water can be provided by the tap or other temperature controlled source and is easily connected by attaching standard tubing over the 3/8" barbed in/out ports on the device.  Users may also facilitate cooling efficiency and uniformity using Galileo's optional alumina backer plates (see accessories below).

Designed for simultaneous heating and mixing of small samples, the VorTemp 56 features interchangeable platforms for microtubes and microplates. Both platforms are supplied with the unit. Temperature in the VorTemp 56 is adjustable over a broad range, making the unit useful for a variety of applications, including bacterial cultures in tubes and microplates. Mechanical convection provides a uniform and stable environment within the chamber. The VorTemp 56 may also be used in the cold room for subambient applications.


Shaking speed as well as acceleration rates are adjustable. Acceleration can be set to three different levels to protect delicate samples.


A microprocessor controls all parameters including temperature and timed operation. Self-diagnostic software continuously monitors the unit for proper temperature and shaking speed, alerting the user to any errors. Heating and shaking are controlled by feedback loops which precisely maintain chosen parameters, independent of load or voltage fluctuations.


The sturdy construction of the VorTemp 56 gives it stability during high speed shaking. The chamber is insulated to maintain temperature and reduce operating noise.

MULTI-CHANNEL PIPETTE 8- AND 12-CHANNEL

CappAero multichannel pipettes have a unique construction, ensuring extremely easy tip mounting and ejection. Both the 8- and 12-channel pipettes have an external ejection lever, assuring ergonomic and effortless tip ejection. This unique construction enables the thumb to rest under tip ejection and helps to activate the other fingers, considerably reducing the thumb workload. Apart from the external ejection lever, the lower part of each 12- and 8-channel pipette is slightly bent in order to eject only 2 tips at a time! This happens smoothly, as if all 8 or 12 tips were ejected in one take, but this special construction of the lower part distributes the pressure and minimizes the workload. Each tip cone of Capp multichannel pipettes is made of anodized aluminum and has double O-rings, which all together eliminate the need to 'hammer' the pipette into the tips rack to secure the optimal tip mounting.

CappAero multichannel pipettes guarantee single channel accuracy and precision across all channels due to the special design and construction of the Capp piston assembly. Capp 8- and 12-channel pipettes are incredibly robust and fully autoclavable, offering easy maintenance. The use of anodized aluminum and metal nose cones instead of plastic ones substantially reduces risk of breakage due to accidental dropping and tip mounting. These precision manual pipettors are designed with a finger hook for exceptional comfort and easy single-hand operation. Lightweight and well balanced, the BioPette Plus single channel pipettes fit comfortably in either the right or left hand and offer very low plunger forces. Chemically resistant, maintenance-free seals and finely polished pistons provide unsurpassed accuracy sample after sample.

The continuously adjustable, digital micrometer is slightly recessed with a volume lock to prevent unintentional change while pipetting. For convenience, volume can also be adjusted by turning the push-button.

Fully Autoclavable Manual Pipettors

Ergonomically positioned, the tip ejector reduces fatigue during prolonged use. BioPette Plus pipettors have a universal shaft that will accept most pipette tips. The stainless steel tip ejector is adjustable to accommodate various styles of tips and removable for pipetting into narrow tubes. The BioPette Plus pipettors are fully autoclavable.
