BluBlot™ HS Autoradiography Film for Western Blots

BluBlot™ HS Autoradiography Film is a premium, high-sensitivity film specifically designed for Western blotting, chemiluminescence detection, and a broad range of autoradiographic applications.

Manufactured with a medium/dark blue polyester base and a double-emulsion coating, this film delivers sharp, publication-quality images with exceptional clarity and contrast.

Compatible with a wide range of radioisotopes, including ¹⁴C, ³²P, ³³P, ¹²⁵I, and ³⁵S, BluBlot™ HS ensures high-resolution results and superior signal-to-noise ratios, making it ideal for sensitive detection methods such as chemiluminescence, fluorescence, and phosphor imaging.

This film performs reliably with both manual development techniques and automatic X-ray film processors, offering outstanding versatility in the lab. It is also suitable for use with blue-emitting rare-earth screens and calcium tungstate intensifying screens. Packaged in light-safe, lined dispenser boxes of 100 sheets, BluBlot™ HS is protected for long-term storage and offers a minimum 18-month shelf life from the date of production. It provides performance comparable to leading autoradiography films at a fraction of the cost.

Hoefer® Gradient Makers

Ideal for generating gradients of polyacrylamide, sucrose, and cesium chloride.

• Made of heavy acrylic plastic with high-quality, leak-free Teflon® valves
• Flat base provides stability on the magnetic stir. Comes with a support rod for attaching to a ring stand
• Takes Luer or 4 mm ID tubing. With included adapters, it can also take 2 mm ID or 22-gauge tubing

SG15, SG30, SG50 and SG100 include

• Gradient Maker with Teflon® Valves, 1/ea

The 500 mL SG500 Gradient Maker is made of two cylindrical acrylic chambers joined and mounted on a flat acrylic base.

Enable several gradient or homogeneous gels to be cast simultaneously. Choice of multiple-gel casters or dual-gel casters.

Gel Casters for Small Format Vertical Electrophoresis Systems (SE250, SE260, SE300)

Multiple-Gel Casters

• Pour uniform gels from the top; pump gradient gels into an inlet port at the bottom of the unit
• Sandwiches fill at the same time and at the same rate from the same solution
• The result: identical gels
• Glass plate sandwiches seal leak-free without the use of messy grease or tape
• Once cast, gels can be wrapped in plastic and refrigerated for several weeks

Dual-Gel Caster (SE245)

• Cast one or two gels
• Accommodates both 10 x 8 cm and 10 x 10.5 cm plates

Hoefer® Mighty Small precast gels are high-performance mini polyacrylamide gels commonly used for protein separation. Utilizing the Bis-Tris buffer system, they effectively minimize protein modifications during electrophoresis, resulting in sharper and clearer protein bands with higher resolution.
