PRO 250 Homogenizer
High-Power Homogenization in a Hand-Held Unit. The PRO250 is a perfect fit between the PRO200 and the larger benchtop PRO homogenizers. It's light enough to be hand-held for convenience, yet it has extra torque for processing difficult samples. Combining the power of a 3/4 hp, 576-watt motor with a smooth variable speed control (10,000 to 30,000 rpm), the PRO250 can handle samples from 0.05ml to several liters. Like all PRO homogenizers, the PRO250 accepts PRO QUICK CONNECT rotor stator generators for fast and virtually effortless changeover. The PRO250 also accommodates PRO SAFETY SEAL and ST (Sealed Tube) Series Chamber Assemblies to contain aerosols and prevent contamination, making it extremely safe when processing hazardous materials. The Oxford Lab Products BenchMate MS1 and MS4 Magnetic Stirrer units simplify stirring for a variety of laboratory applications. With a slim profile, compact design, and no moving parts this magnetic stirrer design is truly maintenance-free. The unique Pulse mode of these units reverses the stirring direction every 30 seconds to enhance mixing for difficult-to-dissolve or mix solutions.
These BenchMate MS1 and MS4 Magnetic Stirrer units have no moving parts, therefore there are no parts to wear out due to friction. The adjustable speed range of these units depends on the model. The MS1 speed range is from 15 rpm to 1,500 rpm and the MS4 speed range is from 15 rpm to 1,200 rpm. PRO Micro Homogenizer packages
The PRO200 homogenizer is ideal for microprocessing in 0.5 mL, 1.5 mL or 2.2 mL microtubes. With PRO's standard Micro-Homogenizing Package, which includes the PRO200 homogenizer and the industry's smallest generator, the 5 x 75 mm generator, volumes as small as 0.03 mL can be easily processed in a matter of seconds. Whether gently mixing, extracting RNA/DNA or destroying the cell wall, the PRO Micro-Homogenizing Package can effectively and efficiently process your sample.The PRO Micro-Homogenizing Package is available in three styles, the Standard version, Deluxe version or Premium version. The Deluxe Micro-Homogenizing Package features two generators,the 5 x 75 mm generator as well as the 7 x 95 mm generator. BioPulverizer
The Bio-Pulverizer reduces tissue hard-frozen in liquid nitrogen to a fine powder. Called freeze-fracturing, this method is especially useful for tough, fibrous tissues such as skin, cartilage, cornea, etc. The Bio-Pulverizer consists of a hole machined in a stainless steel base, into which fits a special piston. In a typical procedure, up to 10g of animal or plant tissue is hard-frozen in liquid nitrogen and placed in the pre-chilled Bio-Pulverizer. The piston is mounted on an easy to use trigger mechanism that is squeezed to deliver a blow to the brittle tissue reducing it to a fine powder. Freeze fracturing with the Bio-Pulverizer is also useful for extracting labile tissue metabolites and as a preliminary step to other homogenization techniques. 2 year warranty
How the Bio-Pulverizer Works
- Place the Bio-Pulverizer in the insulated container and cool thoroughly with either liquid nitrogen (preferred) or a dry-ice/alcohol mixture.
- Place pre-frozen tissue in the well of the mortar. Re-insert the pestle into the well.
- Remove the mortar from the insulated container and pulverize the tissue with one or two blows to the pestle.
- Invert the mortar and empty the powdered contents for subsequent homogenization or extraction procedure.
MTC Bio™ Weigh Boats
MTC Bio Weigh Boats are made of antistatic polystyrene and will withstand temperatures to 90C, as well as exposure to diluted acids, alcohols, bases, and aqueous solutions. Their flexibility and smooth interior surfaces with rounded corners allow for easy decanting of powdered samples. Their flat bottoms ensure stability and prevent tipping.
Weigh Boats are available in the traditional square shape as well as in a new diamond shape for easier pouring. Originally designed as weighing containers, they have proven ideal for dispensing & storage and as disposable mixing/quick freezing trays. They are available in black or white for improved sample contrast and visibility and are packaged in ultra-compact dispenser packs.

BeadBug™ Microtube Homogenizer

The BeadBug™ is a high energy benchtop homogenizer for individualized sample cell disruption to whole tissue homogenization. Simultaneous homogenization of up to 3 samples inside disposable 2ml screw cap microtubes can be optimized for grinding for 3 seconds to 3 minutes. The mixing motion causes rapid disruption through constant high velocity impact from the hardened micro-beads chosen specifically for your sample type.
Developed for samples too tough to be homogenized in a common lab vortexer, the BeadBug™ provides a convenient and economical alternative to the traditional, over-priced homogenizers on the market today. Positive Charged Microscope Slides
These microscope slides have a positive charge that makes the surface ideal for cell, tissue, and general sample adhesion. Typical samples have a negative charge and are therefore attracted to the positively charged slide surface, significantly reducing “float”.
Slides are made of high-clarity glass and have dimensions of 25×75 mm at 1.1mm thick (compatible with most printers). Frosted marking surface on one end. Packed 72 pieces per plastic box.
Slides are packaged in a Class 10 cleanroom for ultra-clean, dust-free performance.
