TC-96 Turbo™ 2D Gradient Thermal Cycler
- Exceptionally fast cycling – speeds up to 9°C/second
 - 2D Gradient for simultaneous optimization of annealing and denaturation temperatures
 - Large, folding 10” touch screen
 - Program wizard for quick and easy protocol entry
 - Optimize results with MIDSCI™ PCR reagents

The Benchmark™ TC-96 Turbo™ 2D Gradient Thermal Cycler is designed for fast cycling and quick protocol optimization. Exceptionally easy to program, the unit features tight temperature control and excellent block uniformity for consistent, reliable results.
Many thermal cyclers offer users the option to select a temperature gradient across the block to test a range of annealing temperatures simultaneously. The TC-96 Turbo™ offers a 2D gradient – across both the columns and rows – allowing for optimization of annealing and denaturation temperatures in the same run. The ability to optimize both steps provides for an increase in yield and specificity of complex or GC rich templates. Temperature ramp rates as fast as 9°C per second allow reactions to be performed quickly – up to 20% faster than other popular thermal cyclers. Temperature change is precisely controlled by a proprietary algorithm that simulates sample temperature and allows samples to arrive at the programmed temperature without any lag or overshoot.
All operating parameters are controlled and monitored from the large, full color, 10” touch screen. The screen can be angled toward the user for easy access and folded back against the instrument when not in use to save space. Entering and editing programs is intuitive with the program wizard. Programming features include adjustable ramp rates, temperature and time increments/decrements, password protected multi-user login and a memory for 30,000 programs.
TC-96 Turbo™ will accommodate 96 x 0.2 or 96 x 0.1 mL tubes as well as non-skirted 96 well plates. The height of the heated lid is auto-adjusting to prevent condensation for all of the accepted consumables. Temperature of the lid is adjustable.
Compatible with select MIDSCI™ PCR reagents, click here to see options.

MultiCycler™ Multi-block Thermal Cycler
Designed for laboratories wanting flexibility in their applications, Benchmark’s MultiCycler™ Thermal Cyclers offer multiple, independent cycling blocks in a single unit.
- Dual or triple block models are available, both offering extremely fast cycling profiles
 - Large touchscreen interfaces
 - Self-adjusting heated lids
 - Gradient capabilities
 - Easy-to-use program wizard.

All programming features are accessed from the large, 10” full-color touch screen. The screen can be angled towards the user when in use and then tucked away to save space. A program wizard guides users through the simple protocol setup process. Advanced programming features include gradient, adjustable ramp rates, and time increments and decrements. For multi-user labs, password protection prevents interference with an existing run. A USB provides for unlimited program storage and easy transfer of protocols between MultiCycler™ machines.
The auto-adjusting heated lid prevents condensation and evaporation of samples. Lid temperature can be programmed, and when the block temperature is below 35°C, the lid automatically shuts off. Peltier units allow for exceptionally fast heating and cooling of the blocks. Temperature change is precisely and accurately controlled within tight tolerances by a proprietary algorithm that simulates sample temperature, resulting in fast runs and reproducible results.

The wells are arranged in a 4×8 and 6×8 format, allowing for the use of PCR strip tubes in both models. Each block is independently controlled.
