Minux® Semi-Automatic Cryostat

Minux® Semi-Automatic Cryostats, also called freeze microtome, is a semi-automatic cryostat designed to consistently produce frozen sections of maximum quality. Quickly cuts tissues at temperatures as low as -35 °C for superior capability. Even in an open-window operation model, the cutting-edge cooling technology achieves less than 2ºC of temperature fluctuations in 3 hours.

Applications include pathological diagnosis, biological research, neuroanatomical research, pharmaceutical research, and clinical cryo-sectioning needs.

• Advanced temp. control system, compressor, and cooling system guarantee temp. stability.
• High-precision cross rail and screw, 5-phase high-resolution sampling motor, and horizontal sampling slider made of aviation aluminum form the precise sampling system to ensure stable section quality.
• Safe
• Advanced low-temp. UVC disinfection technology kills bacteria and viruses, disinfecting the inner surface and the air of the cabinet. This reduces the risk of contamination by infectious materials.
• Waste liquid volume will be displayed on the touch screen. Full bottle alarm prevents waste liquid from flowing out and contaminating the ground.
• Efficient
• Colorful touch screen integrated with coarse sample feeding, trimming and section switching, and slice parameter adjustment with a joystick constitutes an efficient operating system.
• Precise positioning system with unique visual pointers of ±8° makes it easy to adjust the specimen clamp to the target angle, reducing trimming and sample waste.
• Automatic sleep and wake saves energy, simplifies manual operation, and reduces waiting time.
