PR1MA™ SOB Broth, Powder

SOB Broth is recommended for use in cultivation of recombinant strains of E. Coli. It is a nutritionally rich growth medium for use in the preparation and transformation of competent cells.

Add 28 grams of Broth in 1 liter of distilled water. Heat gently to dissolve the medium completely. Dispense in tubes and sterilize by autoclaving for 15 minutes.

• Casein Enzymic Hydrolysate: 20 g/L
• Magnesium Sulfate: 2.4 g/L
• Yeast Extract: 5 g/L
• Potassium Chloride: 0.186 g/L
• Sodium Chloride: 0.5 g/L
• Final pH(25°:C): 7.0+0.2

• DCM Appearance: Homogeneous Free Flowing,Light Beige
• PPM Appearance: Clear, no to light ppt, light yellow
• pH (2.8 % Solution @25 ^oC): 6.8 - 7.2
