PR1MA SOB Broth, Powder

SOB Broth is recommended for use in cultivation of recombinant strains of E. Coli. It is a nutritionally rich growth medium for use in the preparation and transformation of competent cells.

Add 28 grams of Broth in 1 liter of distilled water. Heat gently to dissolve the medium completely. Dispense in tubes and sterilize by autoclaving for 15 minutes.

  • Casein Enzymic Hydrolysate: 20 g/L
  • Magnesium Sulfate: 2.4 g/L
  • Yeast Extract: 5 g/L
  • Potassium Chloride: 0.186 g/L

PDA is suitable for growing clinically important yeast and molds. The nutrient-rich potato infusion in PDA promotes mold sporulation and pigment production in certain dermatophytes.
