SOB Broth is recommended for use in cultivation of recombinant strains of
E. Coli. It is a nutritionally rich growth medium for use in the
preparation and transformation of competent cells.
Add 28 grams of Broth in 1 liter of distilled water. Heat gently to
dissolve the medium completely. Dispense in tubes and sterilize by
autoclaving for 15 minutes.

Dissolve 23 g in one liter of distilled water. Heat the solution to a boil with continuous stirring for one minute. Sterilize by autoclaving at 121°C for 15 minutes. Mix the medium with gentle agitation to avoid bubbles prior to pouring plates. Store at room temperature.
