These racks are designed to hold Labcon centrifuge tubes. Unlike foam racks, they are autoclavable and will not fall apart with repeated use. They can be frozen, and they stack together to minimize storage space. An interlocking design lets you connect more than one rack to create a handy workstation. Autoclavable (122°C) and freezable (-80°C).

Expandable tube racks can be assembled to hold 5 mL, 15 mL, and 50 mL tubes. You can link sections of 25 to suit your needs. Made of polypropylene.

Safe Dispensing of Blood Samples
 
Tip Top® Dispenser Caps A safe and cost-effective way of dispensing samples in your lab. The Tip Top® is a disposable cone shaped cap that fits all standard 13 or 16 mm blood collection tubes. A small opening allows you to dispense a sample without removing the Tip Top cap so you can prepare smears on slides or dispense into reagent wells or microcentrifuge tubes safely. Inside the tip of the Tip Top® is an integral porous filter that removes fibrin from the blood sample allowing for a perfect smear.

Tip Top® is a convenient alternative to pipetting from an open blood tube, just tilt the tube and squeeze to dispense one drop. And Tip Top® is safe you don't need to open the tube and pipet out of the tube so spillage is reduced along with potential exposure to infectious disease. Just carefully remove the stopper and replace with Tip Top®.

The Tip Top® dispenser cap can be used with almost any liquid. Made from chemically resistant polyethylene they can dispense serum, reagents, plasma, whole blood and CSF. The integral porous polyethylene filter efficiently separates serum and can also be used a a reagent blender.

Fits standard 13 x 100 and 16 x 100 collection tubes.

Labcon Security Cups for Urine or Specimen Collection

These security containers are designed to provide secure and reliable tamper-proof seals for specimens in transit or storage. After specimen collection the screw cap is tightened first by hand, then by the special wrench, which engages teeth on the lids rim to create a locked and leak-proof seal. To access the specimen for testing procedures, large or small sample spouts may be cut with scissors or pierced with a syringe. Spouts can be resealed with the large or small plugs and returned to storage for further testing. SuperSlik® Low Retention tips have a proprietary modified polypropylene surface that limits the adhesion of cells, rDNA, proteins, and other viscous materials. Their accuracy and precision is up to 10 times better with viscous samples than standard non-wettable polypropylene. SuperSlik® tips are made from our own proprietary resin formulation that uses no additives or coatings that migrate into your samples. Unlike low retention tips from many others, SuperSlik® tips use no restricted chemicals and meet RoHS regulations. The resin helps increase the contact angle of fluids and lets you dispense the maximum amount of sticky DNA molecules. These tips were developed in our own laboratory and have been found to be ideal for viscous samples. Low retention tips are best suited for pipetting thick or sticky fluids and may not be appropriate for all uses.

Smooth rounded edges and a reinforced seal make these racks durable additions to your lab. Strong enough to be autoclaved many times. The separate rack insert includes a beveled top an extra-sturdy surface for multi-channel pipetting. A vent in the rack sides allows steam autoclaving to be more efficient and assures your tips are sterile. The long thin design of the 192 rack allows for more working space on the lab bench.
