How to Choose the Correct Glove Fit

Choosing the correct glove fit is essential to your safety and comfort.

• The glove must be loose enough to shake off your hand in one motion, in the event of saturation with cryogenic fluid
• Too tight a fit leads to thermal loss
• Tempshield’s gloves are sized appropriately to take quick removal into account, order your true size
• If your length and width sizes do not match, order your width size, the cuff will cover any additional length needed

Sizing Guide

• For your hand length, measure from the fold of your wrist to the tip of your middle finger.
• For your hand width, make a fist with your dominant hand and measure the circumference below your knuckles. Do not include your thumb.

Petri Dish Plate Stickers

PetriStickers allow for petri dishes to be labeled quickly, neatly and reliably. Made with water-resistant ink, substrate and adhesives and will remain firmly attached at temperatures from 42° to 4°C. Simply remove the label's protective backing and apply it to the back of a petri dish. After labeling, the dish can be held in a comfortable position for streaking or colony transfer, stored in an incubator or refrigerator, and photographed.

PetriSeal™ Sealing Film

PetriSeal™ stretches and conforms to form a tight seal and is temperature resistant, waterproof and chemically resistant. It resists abrasion and puncture and blocks vapor loss while reducing the rate of gas exchange. Use PetriSeal™ with microtiter plates, Petri dishes and culture plates to prevent to entry of contaminants. The seal remains flexible down to -30°C and can withstand continuous exposure from -40°C to +77°C (with intermittent exposure up to 100°C). Tests have shown that PetriSeal™ leaves no adhesive residue even after two years.

Ideal for generating gradients of polyacrylamide, sucrose, and cesium chloride.

• Made of heavy acrylic plastic with high-quality, leak-free Teflon® valves
• Flat base provides stability on the magnetic stir. Comes with a support rod for attaching to a ring stand
• Takes Luer or 4 mm ID tubing. With included adapters, it can also take 2 mm ID or 22-gauge tubing

Gel Casters for Small Format Vertical Electrophoresis Systems (SE250, SE260, SE300)

Multiple-Gel Casters

• Pour uniform gels from the top; pump gradient gels into an inlet port at the bottom of the unit
• Sandwiches fill at the same time and at the same rate from the same solution
• The result: identical gels
• Glass plate sandwiches seal leak-free without the use of messy grease or tape
• Once cast, gels can be wrapped in plastic and refrigerated for several weeks
