PR1MA Rapid Coomassie Stain

Chemical Formula: C5H10O5

Solubility: Water

Storage Temp: Room Temperature

This unique Coomassie Blue based formulation features a special dye that is absorbed by protein bands instead of the gel matrix. This eliminates the need for destaining and offers enhanced sensitivity and sharper resolution of bands. Protein bands can be detected within 10 minutes. Maximum intensification may require incubation up to 40 minutes. Offers greater convenience and sensitivity than conventional stains. Compatible with silver staining. Rapid Coomassie stain uses a simple two-step procedure. Stain is designed to detect as little as 7.9ng of protein within one hour of electrophoresis.

Supplied as 20X concentrated solution.

Shelf life is approximately 18 months at room temperature.

Gel Crusher Spin Column

Rapid Gel Fragmentation for DNA Recovery.

Gel Crusher Spin Columns provide a fast, efficient, and consistent method for gel fragmentation, replacing traditional crush-and-soak or manual gel breaker steps. Designed with 600 uM filtration pores, these columns enable quick and uniform fragmentation of agarose or acrylamide gel slices, saving time and increasing DNA recovery yields.

Ideal for workflows in molecular cloning, PCR cleanup, restriction digests, DNA sequencing, and labeling protocols, the Gel Crusher simplifies the preparation of gel fragments for downstream purification and elution steps.

Simply insert the Gel Crusher column into a 2 mL microcentrifuge tube, add your pre-cut gel slice (prepared using a gel cutter or razor blade), and centrifuge at max speed (~15,000 x g) for 5 minutes. The gel will be forced through the 600 uM pores, producing small, uniform fragments that can be easily pipetted using wide-bore tips into NaCl or other solutions.

This process creates a fine slurry that enhances elution efficiency and improves access to the target nucleic acids, significantly reducing incubation and processing time.

Key Features

  • Efficiently breaks gel slices into uniform fragments
  • Eliminates manual crush-and-soak steps
  • Increases DNA yield and recovery efficiency
  • Fits standard 2 mL microcentrifuge tubes
  • Compatible with standard benchtop centrifuges (up to 15,000 x g)
  • 600 uM pore size ideal for agarose or acrylamide gels
  • Simplifies downstream processes: elution, filtration, incubation
  • For use in PCR, cloning, digestion, sequencing, and more

Reversible Racks

  • Choose 60 well (5 x 12) or 96 well (8 x 12) formats
  • Reversible racks, accept 0.5 and 1.5 to 2.0 mL microtubes
  • Alphanumeric marking on each well
  • Made of polypropylene

Azure Chemi Blot Blocking Buffer

This Chemi Blot Blocking Buffer was formulated to enhance signal and lower background by improving sensitivity. Enhances specific antibody-antigen interactions specifically for chemiluminescent Western blots.

  • Provided as a 1x ready-to-use solution- no mixing or dilutions required.
  • Size: 500mL

Features

Western blot membranes should be incubated in blocking buffer before antibody hybridization to prevent non-specific binding of antibodies. Blocking buffer can also be used for diluting primary and secondary antibodies during hybridization.

Azure Blot Washing Buffer

Wash buffers are an important part of the blotting process for removing unhybridized antibody and preventing background signal.

Blot washing buffer for use with Azure Imaging Systems, or any other Western blotting system.

  • Provided as a 10x concentrated solution
  • Size: 500mL

NOTE: While this Blot Washing Buffer is compatible with NIR Fluorescent Western blots, for the best results with NIR fluorescence, we recommend the Azure Fluorescent Blot Washing Buffer.

Azure Protein-free Blot Blocking Buffer

Protein-free blocking solution optimized for fluorescent Immunoblots and Western blots

Does not contain proteins. Azure Protein-Free Blot Blocking Buffer can reduce background in Western blots where the primary antibodies tend to cross-react with protein blockers like BSA, casein or milk protein. For low-quality primary antibodies that may require protein-based blocking agents, BSA or non-fat dry milk can be dissolved directly in the Azure Protein-Free Blot Blocking Buffer and then used to dilute the antibody.

Best used with assays where animal-based product usage is prohibited. Serves as an excellent blocking reagent for chemiluminescent Western blotting.

  • Provided as a 5x solution
  • Size: 200mL
